Year 9 & 10 Boys Cricket

The team had a great day out at Mt Evelyn Reserve on Tuesday 10th October. Winning the toss and electing to bowl, the High School posted a solid total of 97 from their 12 overs. In reply our boys couldn’t quite keep to the run rate, falling 30 runs short. In the second game we won the toss and batted against Healesville. Tom R. starred, batting for 9 overs before being retired on 31*, partnerships with Jordy B. (14) and Riley B. (10) helped our score to 65 after a shortened 10 over game. Early wickets and Hunter G. being on a hat-trick, pushed the required run rate to about 10 per over.  However, the small ground and a set batsman helped Healesville pass us with an over to spare. A great day regardless of the results; the boys showed great sportsmanship all day and gave their all.

Eastern Zone Athletics

In the second week of this term, several of our students participated in the Eastern Metropolitan Zone Athletics event, having qualified by winning their respective events at the Yarra Division event late last term. While our students came up against some strong competition, they consistently represented the College Values throughout the day.  Well done to Alisdair of Year 10 for finishing in 3rd place in discus.
