Alex - Year 4
On Saturday 2 August Alex travelled to Franks Gym where they were hosting a charity fundraiser called Kilos for Kindness. The charity aims raise funds to buy books for premmie babies. The Aim of the day was to try and lift 1 million kilos.
In 2 hours Alex lifted 13000 kilos. He did over 100 reps on the leg press, lifted a concrete boulder, a heap of triceps rope pulls and his favourite Deadlifts. Alex also did a PB on his deadlift with a massive 70kg lift with the whole gym cheering.
He was awarded best junior lifter and was gifted a hand made monkey he named Jimmy and placed 10th overall (including adults).
Well done Alex on your kindness and outstanding achievement!
Leah and Helena- Year 1 and Mila - Pre-Primary
Leah, Helena and Mila Harper participated in the Aussie Gold Cheer and Dance competition on the weekend.
Leah and Helena participated in a group hip hop routine taking out first place and received a gold medal.
Mila participated in the cheer routine along with Leah and Helena and also brought home a gold medal in first place!
Well done superstars!
Emily - Year 5 and Alfie - Year 3
Emily and Alfie recently travelled to Melbourne to race the City of Melbourne titles.
This was a really big 4-day event, with practice and qualifying and racing throughout these days.
Alfie managed to finish up 19th out of 32 competitors in his category
Emily managed to finish 21st out of 36 competitors in her category.
They both had a good time and enjoyed racing different people and tracks, which they had never raced on before. Congratulations to Emily and Alfie!
