Year 4 Assembly

What a proud moment it was to see our Year 4 students take the stage and share their learning about First Nations Australian culture through a beautiful performance of the Dreaming story The Rainbow Serpent. The students brought the story to life with creativity and respect, helping us all reflect on the deep connection First Nations people have with the land, animals, and each other.

In the lead-up to the assembly, we explored the importance of Dreaming stories in passing on culture and history, and discussed how First Nations Australians lived in harmony with the land. Our conversations led to thoughtful reflections on our own responsibility to care for the environment and the people around us.

To finish, we sang Under God’s Rainbow – a joyful reminder of how fortunate we are to live in this beautiful country and the part each of us plays in looking after it. It was a celebration of learning, culture, and community, and we couldn’t be prouder of our Year 4 students!
