In Religion, we’ve been diving into the world of emotional intelligence – learning how to recognise and manage our feelings, and how to use those skills to build positive, respectful relationships with others. It’s been heartwarming to see students grow in empathy and confidence as they reflect on their own emotions and those of their peers.
Maths has been all about multiplication! We’ve been sharpening our times tables, exploring clever strategies, and discovering the fascinating inverse relationship between multiplication and division. The students are becoming little number ninjas, and their enthusiasm is contagious!
In Health, we’ve been talking about children’s rights and celebrating what makes each of us unique. Our classroom has become a safe space for sharing stories, exploring identity, and embracing the beautiful diversity within our group. It’s been powerful and uplifting.
Our HASS lessons have taken us on a journey through First Nations Australian culture, where we’ve learned how knowledge is passed down through dance, art, and Dreaming stories. The students have been captivated by these rich traditions and have shown great respect and curiosity in their learning.
Digital Technologies has sparked some fun and fascinating conversations as we explored how people communicate using different codes – from Braille and Morse Code to text messages and emojis. It’s amazing how many ways we can connect with one another!
And speaking of excitement… we’ve had a classroom makeover! New furniture has arrived, and it’s completely transformed our space. The bright colours and comfy seating have brought fresh energy to our learning environment, and the students are loving it.
Outside the classroom, Year 4 has been shining in so many ways – from cross country and choir performances to dance showcases and school-wide celebrations like Italian Week and Science Week. We even presented our very own Year 4 assembly and contributed to the Italian assembly too! And with Book Week just around the corner, the buzz is building as we start dreaming up costumes and getting ready to celebrate our love of reading.
It’s been a joyful, jam-packed start to the term, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of Term 3 brings. Thank you for your ongoing support – your children are doing amazing things!
