Year 8 Netball - Thursday 19th March

On Thursday we all got to eagle stadium, and we all could tell the competition was not going to be easy. Knowing that we went thru last year anything could happen. We played our first game some fails but we improved and got a better outcome for it. We all had a part in the game, and everyone was having fun. On the next game we were losing but we but tried our hardest and we were able to get some goals and we weren't losing by a lot. We got into finals and we were fighting for 3rd and out of it we came to school proud that we tried our best and we had fun

Today, 19th of the 3rd, me and seven other girls participated in a series of netball matches against other schools. We started off the day exited and nervous for what awaits. Last year we had won, so this year their was a little more pressure to do well. As vice captain I made sure we were all playing the game as well as having fun because having a more serious attitude could effect our gameplay. Overall, we ended up placing 3rd, but we knew we could have bet second place with ease if they had put us against them. In the end we all came to the conclusion that wherever we placed didn't matter, what mattered is that we are proud of ourselves for going and representing Brinbeal as a team.

Year 7 Netball - Thursday 26th March

On the 26th of March, our students represented Brinbeal Secondary College at the Tarneit Division Netball Tournament held at Eagle Stadium. Throughout the day, students demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination across all matches.

It was particularly rewarding to observe the way students communicated effectively on the court, supported one another, and applied the skills developed during training. They showed resilience in challenging moments and maintained a positive attitude, regardless of the outcome of each game.

Achieving 4th place in the Tarneit Division Netball Tournament is a strong result and reflects the team’s effort, commitment, and growth. Overall, the tournament provided a valuable opportunity for students to develop both their netball skills and their confidence in a competitive setting.

From students:

Last week we had the opportunity to compete in the Tarneit Division Netball Tournament at Eagle Stadium. It was a really fun and exciting day where we got to play against different schools and challenge ourselves.

We worked well as a team, encouraged each other, and tried our best in every game. Even when some matches were tough, we didn’t give up and kept supporting one another. It was also a great chance to improve our skills and build stronger friendships as a team.

We were proud to finish in 4th place in the Tarneit Division Netball Tournament and got to play fun games with other schools after the matches were over. Overall, it was a great experience that we all enjoyed and will remember.
