The April School Holidays are upon us already!
There are many activities being organised for students during the School Holidays. Apart from the BMCC Library, I have also learnt of some with “headspace Katoomba”.
BMCC Library
The BMCC Library staff have another diverse range of activity programs organised for the coming holidays, to be held in their Katoomba and Springwood branches. Activities are across all ages. There is a small fee for some activities, while others are free! Bookings are now open!
For this holiday, Hub Picnic Day is on Wednesday 16th April, 11am - 2pm outside the Springwood Library Branch. All families welcome! Pack a picnic and enjoy the free games, activities and craft.

The Writing Workshops are to support the Living Voice 2025 Writing Competition, with prizes to be won. Details and links to further information are in the Living Stories 2025 pdf below:

“headspace Katoomba”
“headspace Katoomba” also have a few activities being held in the holiday break for Blue Mountains youth, aged 12-25 years.
Monday 14th April = Beginner Karate sessions. Held at GKR Karate, next to “headspace Katoomba".
- 2.00-2.45pm, Session 1 for ages 12-16;
- 3.00-3.45pm, Session 2 for ages 17-25.
Wednesday 16th April = Youth Week 2025 - Lawson Skatepark event.
- 12.00-4.00pm.
- 3.30-5.30pm, for ages 12-25.
- 2.30-4.30pm, all welcome!
Includes a Skate, scooter and bike competition; music; street art; and Free food.
Thursday 17th April = Dungeons and dragons, with “headspace” and Springwood Police. Held at Katoomba Library.
Wednesday 23rd April = “headspace Katoomba” Open Day, at the redesigned “headspace Katoomba” offices.
Includes a Scavenger hunt, meeting the team, learning about the services, and delicious snacks.
