From the Principal

Dear BMGS Community,
The Deeper Gift of Easter
As we come close to another worthwhile and full term, it’s easy to find ourselves looking forward—perhaps with great anticipation—to the holidays ahead. And rightfully so. The end of term brings a welcome chance to rest, to spend time with loved ones, and to step back from the busyness of daily routines.
The Easter holidays, in particular, offer something special. They promise renewal—of time to reconnect, reflect, and, yes, enjoy an oversupply of chocolate and hot cross buns. But in the midst of the rest, joy, and celebrations, I encourage all of us—students, staff, and families—to take a moment to pause and consider the deeper reason for this season.
Easter is, at its heart, the most significant celebration in the Christian faith. It marks the moment that Jesus completed what He set out to do: to bring healing, hope, restoration, and redemption to a broken world.
Regardless of your faith, the Easter message offers a powerful question worth reflecting on: What does that mean for us today if it is true?
The Apostle Paul writes in Romans 8:11,
“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.”
That one line is both a challenge and a comfort. It reminds us that Easter isn’t just something we remember—it’s something we can live.
In a world still marked by division, uncertainty, and pain, it reminds us that light can overcome darkness, love can defeat fear, and new life is always possible.
So, as you enjoy a well-earned rest this holiday, I hope you’ll find moments of peace and joy. But I also hope you’ll find a moment to pause, to reflect—and maybe even to be curious—about the extraordinary hope Easter offers to you and the world.
I wish you and your family a safe and refreshing break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the start of Term 2.
Warm regards
