From the Head of the Junior School

Over this term, some of our staff have been on some fascinating Professional Learning. This week, we were the learners while five of our teachers fed back all that they have learned this term. We learned about Indigenous Perspectives from Mrs Brajkovic, Explicit teaching and data use from Mrs Walker, the Pedagogy of Playful Learning with Mrs Mackin and Ms Walters and Mathematical Investigations with Mrs Spohr.
I am proud to lead a team of staff who are passionate about learning. Not one of us knows all there is to know about teaching. We all have much to learn and we can teach each other. Some of our favourite moments are when the children teach us – I learned great things about bat spit from the Stage 2 Wirrawirra class this week – gross, but fascinating!
Thank you for celebrating Easter with us – with our crafternoon, our Easter hat parades and at the Easter Service today. I pray you will have a peaceful and restful Easter and spend some time learning something new!
