From the Deans of Students

This term has seen some exciting new initiatives in the Wellbeing space at Blue Mountains Grammar School, with the introduction of our inaugural Wellbeing Assemblies for Years 7–9 and Years 10–12. These assemblies were student-led, providing a powerful opportunity for students to share their experiences and reflect on important themes such as study skills and belonging. It was incredibly encouraging to see students from all year groups step up, use their voices, and engage meaningfully with their peers. They demonstrated leadership, confidence, and a strong sense of community.

In addition to these assemblies, last week saw the first round of Merit Awards presented during House Meetings. These awards recognised students who have consistently upheld our school values and contributed positively to our community. It was wonderful to witness such enthusiastic engagement and to celebrate our students.

There is an upcoming parent program on anxiety, which will run next term. This valuable session is being offered by an organisation based in the Blue Mountains and aims to support families in understanding and responding to anxiety in young people. Please find the flyer with further details below.

We are proud of the growing culture of wellbeing, leadership and student voice at Blue Mountains Grammar School, and look forward to building on this momentum in the terms to come.
