The vision for the partnership at St Philip’s College with the LFC IA is to embed Liverpool FC International Academy’s exclusive curriculum and authentic methodology into the school’s football program and extracurricular clinics open to the wider community. This partnership combines St Philip’s College’s strong educational framework with LFCIA’s globally recognised football development model to create an environment that supports both sporting excellence and personal growth.

Through The Liverpool Way players and students experience a philosophy and structure built on Liverpool FC’s four core values: Ambition, Passion, Integrity and Unity. 

Training sessions mirror the skills drills and resources delivered at the Liverpool FC Academy in the UK ensuring an authentic and globally aligned development experience.

Beyond technical and tactical development, The Liverpool Way is a values-led approach that supports social and mental development career pathways and essential life skills such as communication teamwork and leadership both on and off the pitch.

As part of the Academy, students will be expected to attend a morning (period zero) and an afternoon (period six) lesson in which they will participate in an active coaching program focused on the development of students’ fitness and sporting skills.

As part of the entrance and ongoing participation in the program, students will be expected to satisfy the criteria below:

1.       Maintain an attendance rate in excess of 90%

2.       Perform to a personal best standard in all aspects of schooling including maintaining good behaviour and effort in all subjects.

3.       Attending all sessions with a willingness to learn and develop as an athlete

Students will be supported in their endeavours to satisfy the above conditions. Negotiated processes will be available to assist students wherever possible. Student progress will be reviewed on a regular basis and failure to comply with the academy expectations will result in exclusion from the program in the following semester.
