Round Square Cup

Round Square Cup: A great success!
The Round Square Cup was a fantastic success, bringing together 13 teams from across both the day school and boarding communities for an evening filled with energy and plenty of friendly competition.
Students, and a staff team, competed across a variety of events, including chicken run, netball, carpet bowls, novelty events and volleyball. The standard of competition was high, with each activity showcasing the skill and versatility of the St Philip’s College community. The costumes and themes were a testament to our creativity!
Our staff team gave it their absolute all, but despite their best efforts, they were unable to overcome the two winning teams!
A special shout-out to our boarding students, who joined forces with a Year 7 team to take out the Spirit Award. Their encouragement and teamwork truly captured the spirit of the Round Square Cup.
The event was organised and run by our wonderful Senior Round Square Committee, supported by a number of enthusiastic Junior Leadership volunteers. Their hard work, and organisation and ensured it was a fabulous event for everyone involved.
Importantly, all money raised from the Round Square Cup, including the bake sale, will support FLECS, our local service project with Ti Tree School. We are pleased to announce that we raised more than $900 for this initiative.
We are incredibly grateful to our generous sponsors, who helped make the event possible. A huge thank you to Josh Burgoyne, who provided Intersport vouchers for the winning team, as well as the Alice Springs Cinema, Meemas, Woolworths, The Tea Shrine and the Golf Club for their generous contributions.
The Round Square Cup was a wonderful celebration of sport, leadership, teamwork and community spirit, and we look forward to making next year's event even bigger and better!
