P.A.R.T.Y. Program

I had the pleasure of taking some Year 10 students to the P.A.R.T.Y. Program which is an injury awareness and prevention program that exposes teenagers to the tragic consequences of risk taking behaviour. Their mission 'An active life, injury free'.

At St Philip's we dive into looking after ourselves and others in Year 10 by teaching students how to recognise and respond to risky situations.

This program was the 'Ah hah moment' for many students, with all students saying their day was engaging, fun and hands-on but carried a strong message.

Here's is what some of them said:

'Always wear your seatbelt' ~ Malia

'If you have to think about it for more than 8 seconds then it's a risk' ~ Diva

'One choice can change your life' ~ Hugo

'It actually can happen to you' ~ Olivia

'You cannot control what others will do but you can make good choices' ~ Carla (Counseller)

'Your injury doesn't just affect you, it will affect others around you' ~ Kailee
