Supporting Every Girl’s Wellbeing and Engagement
The wellbeing and engagement of your daughter is supported through strong collaboration between families, teachers, pastoral staff and specialist support teams.
We deeply value the important partnership we share with families, as this connection plays a vital role in helping each student thrive. Working together allows us to respond to individual needs and create the best possible environment for learning and wellbeing.
Last week, Ms Jessica Edwards, Director of Wellbeing Programs, engaged all our girls in our annual Week of Wellness. While wellness and wellbeing are embedded in our Loreto Education Model, Ms Edwards reflects below on the meaningful opportunities for reflection, connection and growth that were experienced throughout this dedicated week.

We Are Stronger Together: Celebrating Wellness Week at Loreto
Wellness Week 2026 featured a vibrant program of activities celebrating mindfulness, connection, movement and random acts of kindness.
A true highlight was Wednesday's Big Sister, Little Sister SEAD lesson, bringing together students from Preschool to Year 12 for shared learning. Through kindness activities, nature walks, collaborative murals, games, origami, rock painting and storytelling, students strengthened the sense of community that makes Loreto special. Learning moved in both directions: our younger students brought creativity, curiosity and play, while our older students brought leadership, encouragement and experience.
The week also gave us space to reflect on what it really means to thrive, not what looks good on paper, but what really matters. For some, thriving comes from having someone who believes in us before we believe in ourselves. For others, it's a habit: a morning run, journaling before bed, breakfast with family instead of rushing out the door. For others still, it's a mindset, telling ourselves “I can figure this out”, and remembering that struggling doesn't mean failing. Wellness Week invited every student and staff member to quietly ask: what is the one thing that genuinely helps me thrive?
Wellness is an ongoing journey at Loreto, not a single week on the calendar. The habits sparked this week will continue throughout the year, including our Loreto Pause and movement at lunchtimes.
Thank you to all our students and staff who made Wellness Week so meaningful. Together, we really are stronger.
