Mother's & Special Person's Day
The PA would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who helped bring together the Mother's and Special Person's Day stall last week.
Although we had a long list of volunteers and contributors, a special mention is required for the incredible Wess JACKSON and Hilary SIMMONS who did all of the running around to source gifts, co-ordinate their delivery and presentation for the stall as well as helping run things on the day with our amazing volunteers. These days are so special for our school community and a great way to show our appreciation for the mums and special people that keep our worlds turning.
Our list of volunteers and contributors to the day is long, but well worth the acknowledgement, so in no particular order, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the following village members for committing their time to help bring this together - we've heard whispers around the school yard that the gifts were very well received and will no doubt stand the test of time and be kept as treasures for many years to come:
We also have a long list of superstar volunteers that helped with creating gift packs, setting up the stall, helping our little legends choose their gifts and of course, the pack up. A very big thank-you to:
We are so very lucky to be surrounded by people who help bring these events to life. A reminder that if you're keen on volunteering, in any capacity, as a one off, or on a more regular basis, you will need the following:
- A Current Working With Childrens Check - These are valid for 5 years, are free when applying as a volunteer and can be done via online application.
- Complete the FWPS Volunteer Induction Process - A short online course, with all the information you need to know about volunteering within our amazing community.
Reach out to the FWPS PA via our email to see how you can get involved - FWPSParentsAssociation@outlook.com - We can't wait to meet you!
Bit of a Glitch
A few weeks ago we issued a call out for anyone interested in joining a range of sub-committees - for the first time we launched an online form to collate our data, but the data never showed. I've never been ghosted by an excel spreadsheet before, yet here we are... So, if you've registered your interest, apologies, you will need to be twice as interested and reach out in the coming weeks once we have a new form up and running. Posters will be added to the breezeway notice boards with committee details and a QR code for registrations.
Second Hand Uniform Stall
The second hand uniform stall will be open Thursday, 21st of May 2026 from 3:15pm to 3:45pm for those looking to grab a bargain. A reminder that eftpos facilities are available for purchases via card.
A little reminder...
It takes a village and you are ours... and if you're still reading, then you either really love the quirky comms (or the posters... is it the posters?) or you're invested in what we are doing within this little patch of FWPS paradise. So, thank you for reading, engaging, participating and supporting us, we look forward to sharing some more ideas and new initiatives with you over the coming weeks.
