Swimming 

Our Prep to Grade 2 students have had a fantastic, action-packed week at PARC for their intensive swimming lessons!

Throughout the week, students focused on vital water safety skills, building confidence both in and around the pool. It has been inspiring to watch our young learners demonstrate immense bravery and persistence as they tackled new challenges, tried new strokes, and conquered initial fears.

Seeing their eager smiles and determination each day has been a true highlight. Congratulations to all of our swimmers for their wonderful effort and positive attitudes!

Maths- Grade 1

Our Grade 1 mathematicians have had a busy week! We wrapped up our patterns unit by exploring growing patterns—predicting rules and building patterns that increase in size.

We are now diving into our new unit on sharing and grouping collections. Students are using hands-on activities to explore equal sharing and equal grouping, building a strong foundation for future multiplication and division concepts.

Literacy- Grade 2

Our Grade 2 readers and writers have been hard at work! In Reading, students are building confidence and expression by practising their reading fluency with partners. In Literacy, we have been exploring spelling rules for prefixes and suffixes, focusing on how base words change when adding ‘ing’.

After wrapping up our unit on narrative writing, we are excited to spend the remainder of the term learning all about informative texts!
