Prayers in Pyjamas is a favourite Junior School event. It is a wonderful evening for sharing learning experiences from our Education in Faith lessons. Families participated in guided meditation and created lanterns and footprints to walk in the footsteps of St Francis Xavier. Thank you to all the families who attended the evening.

The firefighters from Frankston Fire Station visited our Foundation students last Wednesday to conclude their education program. Over the two sessions, students practiced how to remain calm and safe during a fire, identified good versus bad fires, and learned the emergency number to call when help is needed. The students' highlight of the program was climbing into the fire truck and looking at all the hoses and levers! Thank you to the firefighters for visiting our Foundation class.

The Foundation students are learning to expand simple sentences by adding 'where' details. Using the Colourful Semantics sentence generator, they combined 'who', 'doing what', and 'where' cards to create some very silly sentences!

Our Foundation students have been busy exploring subtraction in Maths! To set the scene each day, the class chanted, "You start with a lot and you end with a little." Using concrete materials and number lines, students practiced counting backwards from the larger number to find their answers.
Kind Regards,
