LEADERSHIP ASSEMBLIES & HOUSE PRESENTATIONS || Over the past two weeks, we proudly presented our 2026 Student Leaders with their leadership badges. In the Principal’s address, students were encouraged to lead with Curiosity, Optimism, Respect and Excellence, and to remember that leadership is not defined by a badge alone, but by the choices and actions we take each day.
We look forward to the positive influence our 2026 Student Leaders will have across our college community as they serve with integrity, purpose and kindness.
At last week’s assembly, continuing a much-loved tradition, our Year 12 students escorted the Year 7 cohort into their first whole-school assembly — a special moment of connection and belonging.
At today’s assembly, we also took the opportunity to include House presentations, building momentum and school spirit ahead of Wednesday’s Swimming Carnival.
A special mention to our talented performers who brought great energy across both assemblies.

YEAR 11 VM FUNDRAISER BBQ – 16 MARCH || Our Year 11 VCE Vocational Major students are currently working on a school community project to celebrate the Year 7 cohort reaching their 77th day of Year 7 — an exciting milestone marking their transition into life at Beaumaris Secondary College.
As part of the project, students are developing their teamwork and event-planning skills while creating a fun and welcoming celebration for our newest students. The class also presented their proposal to the college leadership team as part of the planning process, outlining their ideas and gaining approval for the event.
To help fund the celebration, the class will be running a BBQ fundraiser on Monday 16 March at lunchtime, giving students and staff the chance to enjoy a sausage while supporting the project.
In preparation, students completed a food safety and hygiene session, learning about safe food handling, cleanliness and proper preparation practices.
We look forward to seeing the Year 11 VM team bring this celebration to life for our Year 7 students.
