Le Français

Salut!
I hope you all have had a chance to see the French Gallery.
All students at BPPS created a poster of their own to greet visitors to our school.
The posters include the following phrases:
BONJOUR! (Hello, Good day)
Je m'appelle...( my name is...)
J'aime ....( I like...)
with students adding their own pictures to illustrate their work.
They traced their hands as a greeting gesture and researched suitable French vocabulary .
The walls outside the French room are now filled with splashes of colour and creativity, a bit like the walls of the Louvre. Magnifique!
In the classroom, Grade 1 and 2 have been listening to Alain Le Lait's song "Ma Famille" and have been learning words relating to family members.
Grade 3 and 4 have listened and recorded on their iPads a song called "En ville" to learn vocabulary about places to visit in our community.
"Quand je vais a l'école..." is a very catchy song that Grade 5 and 6 are listening to and recording on Seesaw to demonstrate pronunciation skills relating to places to visit and see on the way to school, and in the community.
Foundation students have been listening and remembering the song "Bonjour mes amis" and practising and tracing French greeting phrases.
A la prochaine,
Madame Higgins
