Flu season
As we move into the 2026 influenza season, families are reminded to help keep our school community healthy by keeping their children at home if they are unwell. We also encourage families to consider the flu vaccine, which is again being offered free of charge through a Queensland Government initiative. Vaccinations are available through your local GP, community clinic or pharmacy.
Over the past two weeks, we have successfully conducted both the staff and boarder flu vaccine clinics. These were well attended, and our students, in particular, handled their vaccinations with smiles and positive attitudes.
Such clinics require significant coordination and planning, and we extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved. In particular, we acknowledge our outstanding “Flu Team”.

R U OK? Day
A conversation can change a life. Saints had this important conversation late last term. Our RU OK? Day focused on “We’re Stronger Together”, aiming to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling with life. You don’t need to be an expert to reach out – just a good friend and a great listener.
R U OK? Day started with colourful chalk art, with messages of community, kindness and support. We welcomed and were silenced by the powerful message from Mr Matt Caruana during assembly and shared recess together. The day finished with two mega-dodgeball games for fun and inclusion.
Every day is the day to start a conversation with someone we care about, to ask them R U OK? Click here to view a short video of our R U OK? Day.
