 VCE VM Students Bring Smiles to Local Community

Our Year 12 VCE Vocational Major (VM) students recently stepped out of the classroom and into the community, visiting a local nursing home as part of their Literacy and Personal Development Skills (PDS) program.

The visit was a highly rewarding experience, with students spending quality time chatting with residents, participating in shared activities, and forging meaningful intergenerational connections. Beyond the classroom, this experience allowed our students to put crucial communication and interpersonal skills into practice, demonstrating outstanding empathy, kindness, and respect throughout the day.

Both the residents and staff at the home thoroughly enjoyed the interaction. We are incredibly proud of the mature and positive way our Year 12s represented our school community, proving that practical learning can make a real difference.
