Middle School Report - August 2026

We farewelled our beloved Assistant Principal, Lea Volpe, last Friday. Lea has been a long-standing and valued member of the Middle School team for the past 14 years. Throughout this time, thousands of students have been fortunate enough to have Lea mentor, nurture and guide them through the important and sometimes challenging years of Years 9 and 10. Her care, dedication and commitment to our students will leave a lasting legacy, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed to our school community.

We wish Lea all the very best for her well-earned retirement and hope she will return to visit us in the future and see the continued growth and development of our Middle School students.

Our Year 10 students are currently participating in the Teen Mental Health First Aid course. This is a valuable program that aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills and confidence to appropriately support their peers who may be experiencing mental health challenges.

Our parent-teacher interviews have recently been conducted, and we hope families found these conversations a worthwhile and valuable experience. We trust the feedback and discussions will support students to maximise their learning and achieve their best possible results by the end of the year.

One final reminder: when students have PE practical classes, they are expected to wear the full PE/Sport uniform. Please ensure students do not wear hybrid or mixed combinations of the school and PE uniforms.

Finally, our school production, Rock of Ages, will premiere at the end of Term 3. Ticket sales will begin shortly, so we encourage families to keep an eye out for further information. We look forward to sharing what promises to be a fantastic production with our school community.
