🎓Valedictory Dinner
Wednesday, 3 December saw the Class of 2025 together for the final time at the annual Valedictory Dinner. Many of our high achievers received well-deserved awards in recognition of their academic achievements, community involvement, and leadership responsibilities.
The Valedictorians, Ella Berry and Jacob Baldachinno, delivered a heartfelt farewell speech on behalf of the students, marking a memorable conclusion to their time at Lilydale High School.
We wish them well with their future endeavours and look forward to hearing about where their journey takes them next.
A heartfelt thank you to the families who made the trek out to Crown, and to the Senior School team - hearty thanks to you and congratulations on a fabulous night!
📜 Year 10 Certificate - 2026
Recently, correspondence was sent to parents and carers of our 2026 Year 10 students regarding the introduction of a Year 10 Certificate starting next year.
The students have been informed about what the certificate will entail and the expectations for a successful Year 10 completion.
What will be involved?
There will be expectations around attendance and academic effort, with a student’s Grade Point Average (GPA) included on the certificate, along with their badge status.
Why are we implementing this?
We want to ensure that Year 10 students are well prepared for the move into VCE/VM.
The importance of attendance is at the top of the priority list. When students have inconsistent attendance it impacts on their ability to engage with the content and therefore affects their learning and progress. The continuity of learning cannot be overstated, being at school regularly is the key.
Throughout the year, students will be guided to monitor their progress, helping them stay on track and achieve a successful Year 10 completion.
