This term, Grade 1 were lucky enough to have a visit from a local author. Tasmanian authors, Beck and Doug Burns, inspired by their own families travels around Australia with their dog, Tex, have written a wonderful story. Their book, “Tex the Travelling Kelpie” follows Tex, a working sheepdog from Tasmania, as he searches for surfing spots and adventure, highlighting the Australian landscape, wildlife, and new experiences.

We loved having Beck and her daughter, Inka, visit our school with their beautiful Kelpie. We were lucky enough to pat Tex and watch him perform some amazing tricks.
