Grade 3 | Blackwood 

In Term Four, Blackwood students engaged in a Literacy unit on poetry. We learned about rhythm and rhyme, onomatopoeia, alliteration, imagery, personification, metaphors and similes. We have written our own rhyming poems, limericks, concrete poems, poems of alliteration, Australian ballads and humorous poems.

Our teachers were so impressed with our poetry writing skills that they created a book containing our masterpieces. This is available for you to view in the library.

We have really enjoyed learning about, reading and writing poetry. It has been a fun way to finish off a great year in Grade 3.
