Science/Art

 

As a follow-up to our Science Unit on animal adaptations, students created their own animal. They had to draw their animal and decide which habitat it lived in. They created a poster with a habitat fact file, and a picture of their animal with their adaptations labelled. 

 

Students created a diorama of the animal’s habitat and made their animal out of air-drying clay. We are now in the process of painting our animals.

Poetry

 

As part of our poetry unit, we have been creating acrostic and cinquain poems. Our acrostic poems were about the highlights of our camp. Our cinquains were on topics of choice including food, a season, a sport, an animal or a hobby.
