Schools Triathlon Challenge

Last Friday, 22 enthusiastic John Paul II Catholic School students took part in the annual Schools Triathlon Challenge at Bellerive Beach. With more than 3,000 entries from schools across Hobart, the atmosphere was incredible and the conditions couldn’t have been better, a beautiful day showcasing determination, teamwork, and school spirit.
JPII fielded seven relay teams, each made up of students who pushed themselves across the swim, ride and run legs with outstanding effort. Our students displayed resilience, encouragement for one another, and excellent sportsmanship throughout the day.
A special shoutout goes to Aidan Henwood, who took on the individual triathlon event — tackling all three legs on his own. An impressive achievement and a fantastic example of courage and perseverance.
Thank you to the staff and families who supported the students, and congratulations to everyone who participated. We are incredibly proud of the way our JPII students represented the school.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s Schools Triathlon Challenge and hope to see even more students getting involved!
