Trade & Tech Fit career expo at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), June 2nd 2026.

Thank you to Ms Anne Murphy (Pathways and Careers) for organising the excursion to this event. Monica Marsiano from Hands on Learning who came with us with some of her team from Hands on Learning. 

The students from Year 8 and Year 9 enjoyed the hands-on exhibition. There was even one of our X-students Dylan from 2013 employed by Victorian University in recruitment there to assist with any questions about future careers. 

Students were engaged and enjoyed the opportunity to explore the wide range of hands-on activities, meet industry professionals, and discover pathways into exciting careers across trade and technology sectors. 

I was particularly impressed by the way the girls could get involved in activities that they may never have considered. Electrical, Auto, Agriculture, Logistics, Building and Construction. 

Our links with Headstart were also there to encourage students to consider a trade career.
