World Teachers Day 2026

World Teachers’ Day will be celebrated in NSW on Friday 30 October 2026.

This year,  the NSW Teaching Gems Map is back! NSW schools and the broader community can celebrate our teachers.

We invite the community to pin a gem to the Teaching Gems Map, and recognise a teacher, past or present, who has made a difference to their lives and school community.

In 2025, NSW DOE received over 18,500 heartwarming submissions showing how much our dedicated NSW teachers mean to their school communities.
