As we approach the end of the semester, all the mandatory and elective courses are finishing up their projects.

Year 12 Product Design and Production will have completed their design portfolios and will be working on prototypes ready for evaluation and critiquing.

All Year 9 and 10 elective students completing Electronics and Wood should be finalising their projects at this point and should start bringing them home.

Year 10 Wood students have completed a shelving system using whatever elements for storage that they could, while producing a decorative element to the outside. The choice of complexity was up to the student.

Year 9 Wood students will be finalising their Japanese lanterns, that are tealight ready. Their focus has been on decorative panelling and experimenting with joining techniques.

Year 8 Systems students are finalising their bread boards. The design of their board was something they independently chose, but the greater detail is shown in the patterns they etched into the top. Students are showing a lot of pride and excitement in what they have created.

Next term new groups will be starting their semester long electives. We are pleased to see the enthusiasm that students have brought to these subjects.
