Hands On Learning (HOL) – Making a Real Difference Around Our School!

It’s been a cold winter, but that hasn’t stopped our HOL students from rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck into a wide range of projects around the school. Despite the chill, we’ve been as busy as ever, working together to improve our learning environment and build practical skills along the way.   From the ground up, students have taken on a variety of hands-on projects. We’ve built a brand new bike rack to store our new bikes. Over in the old gym, students have been painting and laying mats, helping to bring the space to life for the future gym equipment.  Our green thumbs and creative thinkers have also been hard at work outdoors. A beautiful new set of tree identification signs has been created, helping everyone in our school community to better understand and appreciate the native flora and fauna that surround us. Students even took it a step further, crafting the signs from wood and using traditional wood-burning techniques to add names and designs.  The HOL Program continues to show how practical learning builds confidence, skills and teamwork, making a lasting impact on our school community. Well done to all involved!
