VCE Murrindindi Scenic Reserve – hike with full hike pack
I was really, really impressed with students during our activity on 24th June. It was so much more than just the hiking, which the students did without complaint. It was not a very long walk, but the terrain was quite steep, with rocks and slippery steps in parts. They walked up and back down again with no problems. The key point of this was seeing the students start to build their self-led aspects - a new area of study in Unit 2. Their communication, morale, support and safety were excellent, as was their organisation of equipment and the way that they followed previous instructions with regards to putting together their hiking packs. I am very pleased and I hope this work, learning and application of information from class will continue to develop for the upcoming the snow and rafting camp.
