CSEN Music Showcase

The two-day CSEN music showcase has been a highlight for the MECS Senior Primary Choir over the past four years. This year was no exception. Thirty-five of our Year 4-6 students travelled by bus to Belgrave Heights Convention Centre, joining hundreds of students from six other CEN schools from as far afield as Werribee, all sharing and expressing their musical gifts.
Across the two days students rehearsed songs in preparation for a showcase concert held on the evening of the second day. Friendships were forged between students from different schools as they worked together for a common goal.
The 120 plus strong CSEN Junior choir, of which our MECS choir was a part, was led and conducted by our own Ms Mentiplay. They created a wonderful sound as they sang the songs, “Everybody”, “Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel” and “Hakuna Mungu Kama Wewe".
Along with string groups, concert bands and the Secondary vocal group, the music showcase thrilled and entertained a full house of family and friends.
What a wonderful experience for our students!
