AUSTRALIAN MATHEMATICS COMPETITION

Great Ryrie Primary School is proud to offer students the opportunity to participate in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) in 2026.

 

The AMC is Australia’s most well-known and longest-running mathematics competition for school-aged students. It provides a wonderful opportunity for students to challenge themselves and showcase their mathematical problem-solving skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

 

The competition features 30 carefully designed questions created by leading educators and academics, covering a range of mathematical concepts from basic arithmetic through to algebra, geometry, statistics and probability.

 

Key Information:

  • Dates: Tuesday 4 – Thursday 6 August 2026 
  • Cost: $9.50 per student 
  • Questions: 30 in total (25 multiple-choice and 5 integer response) 
  • Time allowance: 
    • Primary (Years 3–6): 60 minutes 

       

  • Registration closing dates: 
    • Print entries: Friday 3 July 
    • Online entries: Friday 31 July 

       

We encourage students to take part in this valuable opportunity to extend their mathematical thinking and enjoy a nationally recognised challenge.
