AUSTRALIAN MATHEMATICS COMPETITION

Great Ryrie Primary School is proud to offer students the opportunity to participate in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) in 2026.
The AMC is Australia’s most well-known and longest-running mathematics competition for school-aged students. It provides a wonderful opportunity for students to challenge themselves and showcase their mathematical problem-solving skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
The competition features 30 carefully designed questions created by leading educators and academics, covering a range of mathematical concepts from basic arithmetic through to algebra, geometry, statistics and probability.
Key Information:
- Dates: Tuesday 4 – Thursday 6 August 2026
- Cost: $9.50 per student
- Questions: 30 in total (25 multiple-choice and 5 integer response)
- Time allowance:
Primary (Years 3–6): 60 minutes
- Registration closing dates:
- Print entries: Friday 3 July
Online entries: Friday 31 July
