The Year 4s have been hard at work creating their Information Report Posters on a fruit, vegetable, or herb of their choice. Students used iPads to research interesting facts, investigate the life cycle of their chosen plant, discover when it is ready for harvest, explore recipes they could make, and identify common problems that can affect its growth. We have been so impressed with the creativity, research skills, and presentation of their final products.

We have also thoroughly enjoyed our Literature Studies this semester as we explored The BFG. Throughout these sessions, students developed and strengthened their reading comprehension skills while engaging in rich discussions about characters, themes, and vocabulary. To finish off our unit, we enjoyed watching both the original and newer film adaptations, comparing and contrasting the similarities and differences between the books and movies.

Goodbye to Mrs Pratt and Welcome to Miss Kirkwood

As we reach the end of the semester, we would like to say a heartfelt goodbye to Mrs Pratt. We thank her for everything she has contributed to our Year 4 team and wish her all the very best as she begins this exciting new chapter as a mum.

At the same time, we warmly welcome Miss Kirkwood to the Year 4 team and look forward to a wonderful second half of the year together.

We hope all our Year 4 families have a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable holiday break. We look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for another exciting semester of learning!
