Principal's Report

Principal's Report
As the 2025 school year draws to a close, I reflect on the great achievements of many of our students, who so often excel in a myriad of fields whether they be academic, sporting, or co- curricular. The most recent example being the Year 12 ATAR rankings.

Three of our Year 12 students achieved ATAR's well above 90, with our DUX being Anna Harper, closely followed by Zach Bissett, and Kriss Asirvatham. Congratulations to them, and to all year 12 students for their application, whether it be within the academic or the applied learning stream; with 100% of students satisfactory completing their secondary schooling.
The last few weeks of term 4 have been full of activity with our Year 10 and11 students finishing the year with a very enjoyable camp at Phillip Island Adventure Resort.
Despite inclement weather for the first day, students and staff made the best of their opportunities and worked well together to overcome mother nature’s challenges.
I was fortunate to join them during the enjoyable and competitive trivia night, with a win going to the students, despite a valiant effort from staff.
Karaoke brought to light hidden talents from students and staff, some who will perform at assemblies next year.
As always, our students are to be congratulated for their positive interactions, resilience, and behaviour.
A few weeks earlier we held our Orion Night (Presentation Evening), where the calibre of our students, and the support of their families was very evident. Students received academic excellence, academic endeavour, sporting, and special recognition awards, with all awardees shining brightly, garnering sincere congratulations from community presenters in attendance.
At a recent assembly, hopeful student leaders presented to our student and staff community their vison for the difference they could make, as members of the college captain team. Their speeches were very well received, and the community began to cast their votes.

It is my pleasure to congratulate and announce that our 2026 College Captains will be, Bec Howarth, and Jack Harper; and our 2026 College Vice Captains, are Adam Du and Trin Ward. Congratulations to these 4 outstanding young leaders.
Please note the 2026 school start days as follows:
Wishing all our families and community members the very best for the Christmas and New Year period.
