Health and Physical Education News

Wow. What a year we have had!

Our Health and PE teachers have delivered a vast array of learning opportunities to our highly engaged students. A busy year, but full of action and fun.

We are extremely proud of everything that our students have achieved, and we commend all of our students on their positive approach, their preparedness, their ability to learn and most importantly their ability to have fun and enjoy our activities.

Term 4 highlights have included our Year 9 Golf Unit where students developed great skill in hitting and course design, our Year 7 Gymnastics Unit where our students astounded us with their energy and creativity, and our Year 8 Cultural Games Unit where students taught their peers a variety of sports that ranged from Shinti (a Scottish version of Hockey) to Backyard Cricket to Luksong-tinik (a game of human hurdles from the Phillipines).

In addition to all of this, our wonderful team of Health teachers have continued to deliver lessons that help our students live well balanced lives.

Our team also take this opportunity to thank Ms Marsal for all the work she has done for our students in the last 3 years.

Unfortunately, she is leaving us to work at another school. Her contribution to our school has been enormous, we will miss her, but we wish her all the best with all that her future holds.

Finally, a heartfelt thanks to all students and families for their commitment to and support of PE, Health and Sport this year.

Merry Christmas

(Remember to swim between the red and yellow flags)
