School Council

Dear Fellow Parents,

As is often the case, whilst our students and staff are on holidays, school council takes that time to make improvements to our school surrounds.  This holiday period is not different. As has been mentioned previously, we have been making improvements around the grade five and six building, the BER as it's known, with repairs, the installation of gardens, and topping up of soil, bark and gravel.

Over the term break this work will ramp up with all of the classrooms in that building being painted and pin boards, similar to those in the main building, installed. The building will be pressure washed, and damaged fly wire screens will be removed. Upon our return, parents and students alike will notice a spruced up building looking a lot fresher, brighter and cleaner than it currently does. A big thank you to Bernard and Rod for their hard work on this building and its surrounds.

Next term, the Parent Opinion Survey will be distributed to all parents in our community. This survey is done each year in government schools, and it is your chance to let us know how we are going. Last year we had a large number of parents complete the survey and the results were very positive indeed.  We hope this year will be the same. We will inform parents via the newsletter and XUNO upon its release.

I hope everyone has a great last week of term, and a happy and safe school holiday period.

Kind Regards,
