Deputy Principal

Mr John Richards - Deputy Principal Community

Term 2 is quickly coming to an end our students from Years 9 -12 have been busily preparing for and completing exams this week. Much work has gone into the planning and implementation of the exam program here at St Patrick’s. It is hoped that our students have learnt much about the importance of study and preparation for their end of Semester exams. The establishment of good study habits and routines are certainly important life skills that will stand our young men in good stead for the future.

Semester 2 Timetable

With the completion of exams this week in the final week of Term 2 we shall be commencing our Semester 2 timetable. Many students will commence next week with new subjects and teachers, particularly in elective subjects. Classes will be held next week using the existing timings.  When students return after school holiday to commence Term 3 classes on Monday July 21, new timings for our College timetable will take effect. Please refer to the graphic below for specific timings.

This week, three of our Year 12 students graduated from the Australian Catholic University Uni Step Up program. The Uni Step-Up program is an opportunity to experience university life by studying two first-year university units while completing Year 11. It is hoped that this program will provide a head start at university, by developing university-level study skills, and discovering more about a potential pathway for a university degree.

Year 12 students Harry Egan, Oliver Williamson and Gus Romeo commenced their study in the Uni Step Up Program in 2024 and completed it this year. They were recognised along with a large number of students from across western Victoria at a Ceremony at ACU Aquinas Campus on Thursday, 26 June. The boys and their families were very proud of their achievements.

End of Term 2

Classes will conclude for the end of term at 2:30pm on Friday, July 4.

CDC Buslines have informed us that all school town buses will depart at the regular school bell time (3:25pm) on the final day of term.

Early departures, which have occurred in previous years at the end of each term, will no longer be offered. Parents of students who travel on CDC Buses will need to be aware of this and plan travel arrangements accordingly for the last day of school.
