Enhanced Learning

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our students and families for their ongoing engagement and support of student learning. At the heart of our work in Enhanced Learning is a commitment to inclusive education and meeting our professional obligations to provide meaningful, personalised support for all learners.

Throughout the year, a significant number of students have accessed adjustments to support their learning—ranging from classroom strategies and learning support, to exam provisions and structured programs. We remain committed to continuing to work with students, families, and staff to ensure each learner is able to access their education on the same basis as their peers. We thank our dedicated teaching team and LSO team for their continued support in requesting and provision of these adjustments. 

As part of this commitment and under our mandated practice, the school is also participating in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD). This annual process helps schools and governments better understand and support students who require adjustments to engage with learning. We thank families currently engaged in the referral or screening process for their patience and remind you that we are unable to progress learning assessments without a recent vision test. This is an essential first step in the screening process. We have a number of referrals awaiting progression and are waiting on return of vision reports. If you have significant concerns about your child’s learning, we ask that your first point of contact is your child’s Homeroom Teacher, who can guide next steps and liaise with the Enhanced Learning team where required.

Finally, if your child has received a diagnosis that may impact their learning, and they require support or adjustments, we ask that you please notify the school. This ensures that we can plan and provide appropriate learning supports in a timely and effective way.

Our team of Enhanced Learning Facilitators is available throughout the school term should questions or concerns arise—we are here to work in partnership with you to support every student’s success.
