From the Principal

As we head into the final week of Term One, I want to acknowledge the energy, commitment, and determination shown across the College community throughout the term. It has been a pleasure to see students striving to do their best, continuing to build a culture of excellence, respect, and pride in our College.
Harmony Week
Week Seven marked our celebration of Harmony Week, culminating in the beautiful Harmony Day Community Mass, a vibrant reminder of the rich cultural diversity that strengthens our community.
We are especially proud of the students who contributed by reading parts of the Mass in their cultural languages and those who wore their traditional dress with such pride. It was also great to see so many parents and caregivers joining us for this important celebration.
A special thank you goes to Bishop Don Sproxton, Father Brennan Sia, and Deacon Mark Powell for celebrating our Mass with such warmth and reverence. Their presence added greatly to the significance of the occasion.
I would also like to acknowledge our special guests for their support of the College:
- Trish Cook, Member for Bullwinkel;
- Julie Hornby, Deputy Executive Director CEWA;
- Darlene Min, Principal Sacred Heart Primary School;
- Ravani and Greg Duggan, Parent Voice Committee representatives;
- Lisa Fogliani, Principal Aranmore Catholic College.
Leavers’ Jackets
A highlight of this week has been seeing our Year 12 students receive their Leavers’ Jackets. This is a special occasion for our senior students—one that symbolises not only their leadership within the College, but also the beginning of their transition into life beyond school.
Holy Week
As we approach Holy Thursday next week, we come to the end of the Lenten season—a time of reflection, renewal, and preparation. We then move into the Easter celebrations, where we rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Easter reminds us that hope is always present, even in times of challenge. May this season bring peace to your homes, renewal to your hearts, and gratitude for the blessings we share as a community.
I wish all students an enjoyable and safe holiday and look forward to welcoming you all back at the beginning of Term Two.
God bless.
