Girl Talk Graduation

Last week we celebrated the graduation of our Year 7 and Year 9 students who have participated in the Girl Talk program throughout Term 3.

Delivered in partnership with The Salvation Army, Girl Talk has provided students with an opportunity to come together in a supportive environment, build connections and explore a range of topics relevant to their wellbeing and everyday lives.

Across the program, students have taken part in interactive activities, discussions and workshops, including a recent session exploring gaming, online platforms and digital wellbeing.  It was wonderful to see the students celebrating together at their final session, and even better to receive such positive feedback about their experience in the program through their feedback forms.

Programs like Girl Talk take a significant amount of planning, coordination and work behind the scenes, but the impact can be incredibly meaningful. By supporting students to feel connected, understood and confident, these programs strengthen student wellbeing and ultimately improve their capacity to engage in and access learning.  It was wonderful to see the students celebrating together at their final session, and even better to receive such positive feedback about their experience in the program.

A huge thank you to Hayley and Jayde from The Salvation Army for the time, energy and care they have invested in our students throughout the program.
