Walk Safely to School Day

On Tuesday 14th May we celebrated 'Walk Safely to School Day'.  It was a wonderful celebration that many students participated in.

Once students arrived at school they were offered a free peice of fruit and a temporary tattoo to commemorate the day.

This annual event encourages all primary school children to walk and commute safely to school. This event is a great opportunity for schools and families to encourage safe road user behaviours, not just one day but every day.

Check out the photos from the day!!

See what our student leaders had to say....

On Tuesday the 14th of May, Resurrection School had a walk to school day to promote students at the school to stay active. When everyone got into school, they got a free tattoo and piece of fruit. We had bananas, mandarins and apples. We had tables set up at the front and back gate. At recess, people got another chance to get a piece of fruit if they didn’t get a piece of fruit. At the end everyone had a smile on their face and looked like they had a lot of fun. By Charlotte and Jake

A huge thank you to Michael from Michael's Fresh Food Market IGA.  Michael supplied all the lovely fruit that students enjoyed on the day.
