Visual Arts

In Term One we spent a lot of time planning and designing our paintings for the whole school mural we were doing with our artists in residence Adam Magennis and Kylie Armstrong.  On the 12th March we had a very busy and exciting day collaborating together to create our wetlands themed mural with guidance from our guest artists.  We can’t wait to see what the mural will look like once it’s pieced together and installed.

In Term Two we have been learning about different artists and styles.  The senior students have explored cubism and the artworks of Pablo Picasso. They used recycled cardboard boxes to come up with their own cubist faces.

The Year Two and Three students looked at the artwork of Keith Haring and then used model magic clay to create their own Keith Haring style dog. They are still a work in progress but you can look forward to seeing the finished products at our Resurrection Art Show in Term 4!
