Autumn in our Garden

The students have been busy in the Kitchen Garden this term planting new seedlings and harvesting a variety of Autumn fruits including: Olives, Strawberry Guavas and Feijoas. Weeding is always on the agenda in the Kitchen Garden and  weeding often provides opportunities for rich discussions around the processes and cycles of the garden, including, preparing, growing and harvesting.

We have also collected and planted some new seedlings, bush foods and trees thanks to the Victorian School Garden Award including Plum , Burdekin Plum, Kale, Lettuce, Spring Onions and Broccoli.

We would love to hear from anyone that would like to volunteer to be involved with the Garden Club on Thursdays lunchtime. The program involves fun hands-on gardening, weeding, watering, planting and composting and no experience necessary. Email your interest to Trish Magree to pmagree@reskeysborough.catholic.edu.au

Rubbish Free Lunches

Thanks also to families for supporting our Rubbish-Free initiative this year. We would like to encourage all families to continue to pack rubbish-free lunches in Term 2. Congratulations to 4OB who hold the Rubbish-Free Sparkly Lunchbox award. Let's continue the good work.
