Alice in Wonderland

In Week 8 of Term 3, Heathmont College proudly presented its 2025 school production, Alice in Wonderland (Prince Street Players version). Performed from the 10th to the 13th of September, the show delighted audiences across five performances, including a special school-time matinee, with near sell-out crowds each night.
The production featured a talented cast of over 26 students who brought the whimsical world of Wonderland to life. Leading the way was Alivia Dennis as Alice, whose dedication and leadership set a high standard for the entire cast. Bella Whittam shone as the Mad Hatter with her vibrant and eccentric portrayal, while younger students also impressed, Lexi Morton charmed as the Caterpillar, Tjahli Tapp bounced through the stage as the White Rabbit, and Marianna Edwards commanded attention as the regal Queen of Hearts. Every performer, regardless of role size, contributed to making the show an unforgettable success.
Behind the scenes, the technical and backstage teams were equally vital. Patrick Rees operated lights, while Makinley Perry and Brandon Pearce managed sound, supported by an incredible backstage crew. The show was guided by dedicated staff, including Christine McFarlane as Musical Director, Millie Whitelaw in her debut as Choreographer, Leigh Holland as Set Builder, and Melissa McCallum, whose set design brought the world of Wonderland to vivid life. The Arts team also transformed the PAC with stunning décor that immersed audiences in the story.
This production was a true team effort, showcasing the creativity, collaboration, and community spirit of Heathmont College. Next year’s production certainly has big shoes, or perhaps a very tall hat, to fill!
