Term 3 Student Showcase

We are thrilled to once again host a Student Showcase of Learning and Work at the conclusion of Term 3. The Showcase will take place on the final afternoon of the term, Friday, 19th September, beginning at 2:00pm. Parents and families are invited to come along and view a variety of learning across all areas of the curriculum. Parents and families will be able to see work from all year levels, from Prep to Year 6.

Stories about the Past - Inquiry Project

As part of this term’s Student Showcase, students will present their Term 3 Inquiry project. Information about this is being sent home this week, as part of the project will need to be completed at home with the support of families. The project outline is attached to this week’s homework sheet and will also be available digitally via Seesaw and Audiri shortly. Once students have gathered the required information and returned it to school, they will work on creating their presentation for display. Please keep an eye out for the project outline, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. We appreciate your support in helping your child complete this project.

Maths: Angles

Students have enjoyed learning about all the different angles. As part of their Rich Assessment Task, students used the semaphore code to decipher whether the letters in their name were a right angle, acute angle, obtuse angle, straight angle, reflex angle or revolution.

Students also enjoyed using a set square tool to look for perpendicular rays around the room and creating different angles with various objects in the class.

Literacy

Students have been learning about Dreamtime Stories and are now in the planning process of creating their own. We are using graphic organisers to help us plan our own stories!

Have a great week!

Kind regards,
