We are thrilled to once again host a Student Showcase of Learning and Work at the conclusion of Term 3. The Showcase will take place on the final afternoon of the term, Friday, 19th September, beginning at 2:00pm. Parents and families are invited to come along and view a variety of learning across all areas of the curriculum. Parents and families will be able to see work from all year levels, from Prep to Year 6.
As part of this term’s Student Showcase, students will present their Term 3 Inquiry project. Information about this is being sent home this week, as part of the project will need to be completed at home with the support of families. The project outline is attached to this week’s homework sheet and will also be available digitally via Seesaw and Audiri shortly. Once students have gathered the required information and returned it to school, they will work on creating their presentation for display. Please keep an eye out for the project outline, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. We appreciate your support in helping your child complete this project.
In 3/4 STEM the students used Scratch coding to animate their names. Students used block coding to make the letters of their name change colour, rotate, move directions or make a sound when clicked.
This week in Maths, our focus has been on angles! Students have been learning to identify the different parts of an angle, spot angles in the world around them, and draw a variety of angles with accuracy. It’s been exciting to see them making connections between classroom learning and the shapes and structures they encounter every day.
A big Happy Birthday to the following students for August! Hip Hip Hooray!
