Welcome to a New Year in Callistemon!

As we embark on another exciting school year, I am thrilled to welcome both our returning students and those joining Callistemon for the first time. Our House has a proud tradition of upholding the values of respect, kindness and always trying our best, and I have no doubt that 2025 will be another year of achievements, camaraderie and growth.

One of our first major events on the calendar is the annual House Swimming Carnival. Last year, we dominated the pool and claimed victory, and this year, we are aiming to do it again! The Swimming Carnival is not just about winning—it’s about participation, House spirit, and coming together as a team. Whether you’re a competitive swimmer, a first-time participant, or someone who can cheer the loudest from the sidelines, we need every Callistemon student to get involved and show their pride.

Beyond the pool, 2025 is an opportunity for each of us to demonstrate what it means to be part of Callistemon. Respect, kindness and effort will continue to be the foundation of everything we do, from the classroom to the sports field and beyond. I encourage you all to set personal goals, support one another, and make the most of the opportunities that come your way.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our House Captains for 2025, Sienna A and Zeel P. The girls are outstanding examples of leadership, dedication and House spirit. They have already shown their enthusiasm and commitment to Callistemon, and I am confident that they will inspire and support all of us throughout the year. Please join me in congratulating them and offering your support as they take on this important role. We are in the process of selecting our Student Representatives and look forward to formally welcoming them to the role at the upcoming Badges Assembly, a highlight of the school calendar.

Let’s start the year strong, with enthusiasm, teamwork, and a commitment to being the best versions of ourselves. I look forward to celebrating our successes and working alongside you all to make this year one to remember.
