Eucalyptus House

Welcome back to 2025 and a warm welcome to our new staff and students to Eucalyptus House!

So far this year we have celebrated the Year 7s and their transition to high school with the Year 7 Welcome Week and Lysterfield Lake excursion! We are so impressed by Eucalyptus 7 already as 100% of the students returned their excursion forms and attended the excursion. Such an organised bunch of students. HLT heard that it was such a fantastic day out in the sunshine getting to know each other, some of the teachers and other students across the other Houses. Throughout Welcome Week, our Year 7s got to know the school and engaged in some fun activities and some other activities to help them learn how to be the best learner they can be at high school. They even had the opportunity to meet our Year 12s and learn from them some of their top tips to thriving in high school. 

Our Year 12s also had the opportunity to attend an excursion to the Melbourne Cable Park where they engaged in some team building activities and lots of challenging tasks to help them connect as a senior cohort. They returned ready to lock in on their goals for 2025 and work toward their chosen pathways. HLT are looking forward to meeting with the Year 12s throughout the course of this year to help them leave their legacy on Eucalyptus House and to help them on their journey to setting themselves up for success once they leave our gates for the last time at the end of this school year. 

This year, we look forward to thriving as a House under the leadership of our House Captains, Hadi H and Zain K. We are sure that they have many plans ready to action for helping Eucalyptus take on all the opportunities and challenges that come our way this year. 

Our HLT remains with Miss McLure as House Leader, Mrs Cameron as Assistant House Leader and Mrs Ratnavelu as Student Engagement Coordinator. In the staff room we have Ms Sreedharah, Ms Vengilat, Mr Gulzari, Ms Curnow, Ms MacKay, Mr Lam, Ms Farahani, Ms Nguyen, Ms Shen, Ms Jiang, Mr Kafrouni, Ms Liyana Gamage, Mr Singh, Ms Di Mascolo, Mr Christoffelz, Mr Yuan and Ms Zhang who are all looking forward to supporting our Eucalyptus students to achieve their success in 2025. They are also ready to solve as many 9 letter words as possible. Hopefully they can teach Miss McLure this very important skill. 

Well done to all Eucalyptus students for starting off the year so well with so many positive choices! We look forward to working together toward our House goal of a calm and orderly environments to support all learners to thrive.
