Principal Selection Update

As we come to the end of Term 2, I would like to provide our school community with an update on the process to appoint the next Principal of Viewbank College. School Council continues to work closely with the Department’s Regional Office, and this important process will continue into Term 3.

At the beginning of Term 3, we will welcome Karen Terry as Acting Principal for the first six weeks. Karen brings significant experience to the role as the current Principal of St Helena Secondary College, and we look forward to the leadership and perspective she will bring to our community during this period.

I would also like to acknowledge and thank Anesti Anestis for his leadership as Acting Principal since the beginning of the year. His experience and steady guidance have been greatly valued, and we wish him all the very best as he returns to Bundoora Secondary College.

We are also grateful to Lauren Jewell for her leadership of the Middle School as Acting Assistant Principal throughout Term 2. We welcome Emma Ford back to this role at the beginning of next term.

On behalf of School Council, I wish all families a safe, happy and restful holiday break. We look forward to welcoming students and families back on Monday 13 July for the beginning of Term 3.
